Testimonials...

Allison is an extremely talented, kind, and patient instructor and horse trainer. I started my dressage journey late in life and thought I would be a lifetime training level rider, but after only one year of training with Allison, my young mare and I are already earning strong scores at first level. I have completely changed my perception of what my horse and I are capable of: I now fully expect I will earn my Bronze Medal on my mare in a few years, with Allison’s expert training. Allison always prioritizes horse welfare. Some days my opinionated pony mare is not in the mood for dressage, so Allison takes us outside to trail ride and have fun. She has a knack for understanding sensitive mares! My mare and I feel supported by Allison in every way: in correct dressage training and in our overall growth as a team.

Allison has made huge improvement in my riding and has now taught me on multiple green horses of varying breeds. I earned my USDF Bronze Medal on a Thoroughbred that Allison helped me train from Training Level up. Allison quickly grasps each horse’s natural tendencies and identifies what we need to do to improve the quality of the gaits and our ability to influence the horse.

Allison has been a crucial piece of the training puzzle for me and my horse Justin. As an eventer, dressage doesn’t always come naturally to us, but Allison’s patience and creative exercises have helped us progress like never before on the flat - and helped us achieve a personal best at the USEA Preliminary level this spring!

One only has to speak with Allison to know her openness and eagerness to succeed in all that she undertakes. She is exceptionally diligent and hard working. Allison is good humored and friendly. She is excellent at gauging her student’s level of knowledge and attitude. After a seven year hiatus from riding while I focused on my young family, Allison assisted me in taking my off the track thoroughbred from barely broke to the top amateur horse in the Dressage and Eventing disciplines at the 2016 Retired Racehorse Project Makeover. She was my rock and voice of reason when I faced training challenges. Allison was able to assist me in making intelligent training decisions, prioritize my tasks and balance my emotions. Her enthusiasm, keen intelligence and irrepressible curiosity in horse training make her an asset to all riders.

I have been working with Allison for several years now. She spent a lot of time with one of my horses who needed remedial work and he is now showing at the Prix St. George level thanks to her help with his training. My riding has improved immensely as well and although I feel like I still have a long way to go, I have a had number of people comment on how much I have improved. Recently Allison helped me purchase two new horses, one for dressage and another for all purpose riding. Both are exceptionally well suited to their respective disciplines and are well suited to me, and didn’t “break the bank account” to purchase. I would highly recommend Allison for both horse and rider skill development.
